The National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) Coordination Secretariat Certifies 38 Compliant MDAs & Local Councils

The National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) Coordination Secretariat under the office of the Commissioner ACC in partnership with the NACS Steering Committee headed by Madam Francess Algali, Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Vice President, responsible for coordinating the implementation of the 2019-2023 NACS, has given certificates of merit to 38 “Fully Compliant” MDAs and Local Councils in the implementation of the recommended actions contained in the NACS.

The certification ceremony, first of its kind, is in recognition and appreciation of the Leadership and Integrity Management Committees (IMC’s) of the 38 fully compliant MDAs and Local Councils, that includes the House of Parliament, Kenema, Pujehun, Karene, Bo, Boothe, Koidu New Sembehun, Kailahun, Freetown, Bombali, Koinadugu, WAR-DC District and City Councils, PSRU, National Telecommunications Auntority, NRA, PPRC, NaCSA, Ministry of Trade, SLRA, ONS, MAFFS, SLMA, NPPA l, Ombudsman, MoD, Marin Rources, ACC, Vice President’s Office etc, have been found to have fully implemented all recommendations referred to them.

The certification was done by the ACC Commissioner Francis Ben Kaifala Esq. It should be noted that the monitoring report of the implementation of the NACS in 2021 indicated an 84% compliance rate amongst all MDAs monitored.
