Our Charitable Activities

There is nothing satisfying than to see you hold the hand of others getting up from their low ebb to being who they want to be but with obstacles or pressures of life.

At FOP Radio, we do not only stop at the gospel in words, we reach out in deed. Be part of us.

Our Impact In The Communities We Broadcast

The Least of Our Brethren-Matt 25:40

A shared commitment to relieve suffering and improve the lives of others is what Jesus thought us in His teachings. At FOP Radio, we are committed to this within our remits. We believe we must not do this in isolation. Rather, it must be a collective approach for a fulfilling end to put a smile or a reason to live again for some. We meet physical needs where we identify it based on our internal policies. We do not only stop at the gospel. You can join us with your donations too to help the process. Call us today to know more. Just before you do, please read below some of our interventions thus far in reaching out.

MULTIPLYING SEEDS OF PEOPLE FOR IMPROVED LIFE OUTCOMES

The Least Of Our Brethren.

Embracing Orphans At Yaoyema Village

As we heed the King’s call ” The Least of our brethren (Matthew 25:40), FOP Broadcasting Network in partnership with Philanthropist Sister Josephine, fed orphans at Yaoyema Village within Moyamba district located in southern Sierra Leone. Working with pastors and field workers, we identified orphans whose parents died from Ebola including other life events. Our dining activity gave a sense of belonging to them and bridged the stigma associated with proximity to kids whose parents may have passed on from Ebola. Our follow-on support will hing on continual physical and psychological support. Ebola may not be around now but there are other orphans who may need your support. You can partner with us to reach out.

The Falaba Story-Naomi Kenday

A few miles away from the district headquarter town of Moyamba, we found a bright girl Naomi Kenday who had lost both parents. Surviving without both parents, Naomi explains her ordeal to FOP staff referencing life without biological parents. Engaging and emotional as her story was, Naomi is being looked after by Neneh Mannah at Falaba village in Moyamba District. She wants to be a doctor. The charitable wing at FOP Radio expressed the ‘Least of My Brethren’ project to tap into Naomi’s experiences. We had a moment of talk and assessed her physical and psychological needs. To reassure her, we implemented Sister Josephine’s good course gesture in having dinner with Naomi and her guardian. Naomi’s ordeal is a replica of many orphans requiring help and assistance. The guardians themselves face challenges in their upkeep. We come in to help with little home support to help them thrive. You can be part of our project, ‘The Least of Our Brethren’ to help mend hearts, give a sense of belonging and hope for the future. You can donate by clicking on our donations page or calling us at the number on our contact us page. You can also click on our pay-pal donation button to support an orphan or sponsor one of our intervention areas with any amount on your mind.

MULTIPLYING SEEDS OF PEOPLE FOR HEAVEN

Church Planting Mission.

The Gboibu Story Of Eastern Sierra Leone

On our church-planting missions consistent with our values and mission ‘The Uttermost Part’, we identified Gboibu village, which is home to some Christians in Eastern Sierra Leone. The plight of those Christians resident in that village was a place of worship. They have been meeting at a Christian brother’s house. Alfred, the Christian Brother, had volunteered to host and grow the group following the group’s eviction from a premise they previously held church services.

Christians within the village were motivated to have a church of their own. A plot of land was identified. Fellowship is ongoing and our call to church planting is being met. We can do more with your help to replicate such activities in various communities across Sierra Leone with your partnership.
